Little Miss Sunshine

Meet my niece Sephra. She was a total crack-up during our little impromptu photo session. She totally took charge (which I'm guessing probably wouldn't have been a good thing if she were an actual client of mine but I'm such a sucker for little kids). She's had a lot of practice posing for her Aunty Omi, who is an ubertalented photographer. I'm a big fan of her work and love her personality and work ethic. If you're not familiar with Omi's work check her out here.
I had to include a picture of Seph and her stick. During our session she stopped me and said "Oh Aunty, wait let me get this stick so I can use it in the picture." I was surprised I was able to keep the camera steady enough to get a picture with her and her stick (I was chuckling the whole time). Probably not the best prop in the world, but to her it was because she thought of it. You had to be there to enjoy the moment. She even gave it her stamp of approval by saying: "Awwww Aunty that's so cute." LOL! Yes my Little Miss Sunshine you are. So. Cute.
I love you Seph. You need to come over more often - I promise I'll keep Jarius away from you.

Faumuina Boys

Didn't make it to Herriman. Got sick (boooo) but meet Ammon and Darrion. They're my nephews but they're more like sons to me. I've been around them all their lives. Their mom and I are sisters and we're practically attached at the hip(it's amazing that we weren't born as siamese twins). They are growing up so fast. It seems like yesterday I was helping their mom change their diapers and now they're practically men. I hope and pray they continue to make good choices in life and make us proud. Love you boys!

Miss Ihilani

Meet Ihilani. She's my 13 year-old daughter going on 30. She loves to sing and play basketball. She's a great help around the house and is very responsible. She's very nurturing and loving. I love and appreciate her so much. She has an older sister who is married and they are very close. Ihilani is very protective of her. Lani and I are very close and I enjoy hearing her stories from school.  I have a feeling she's going to be great at whatever she chooses to do in life.
(p.s: I wish I had her hair! She got that silky beautiful hair from her Dad's side of the family - their German side. Yeah she got the "good hair" - blast those German genes. puh-haha)

Joy and happiness!

I feel joy and happiness when these three little angels come to visit me. My heart melts everytime I see them. I wish they could just stay little - but I know they can't. I'll just have to settle for moments like these frozen in time.  My granddaughter Kelis (keh-leece) is looking at Jarius like she's wondering what's so funny lol! And Jordan (far left) looks like he's deep in thought! I wonder what a 3 year-old would be thinking so deeply about?
Love you angels!

I like this picture of Jarius so I thought I'd include it here!
