Friendly Faces

These are some of the cute and friendly faces that were at my niece Klarissa's baby shower this past Saturday. They came with their parents and boy was I glad they did. This last picture (#5) was taken after Baby Fesi had some fun with a chocolate cupcake with blue frosting. Lol!
The other stars of this post starting with picture #1 are (Aidan and Ariana) #2 (Aidan) #3(Baby Dice) #4 Baby Savali.
Kids make for some cute models no?

They're back.

Okay, I previously thought my comments disappeared but they suddenly reappeared tonight after I griped about them missing in an earlier post.

But they're back and I'm doing a little happy dance for them.

Welcome back old comments. Wherever you were. Mama's glad to have you home. Now stay put! Ya hear?

On the upside...

There was a positive side to the emotionally filled weekend I had. I got to take a lot of shots of my family. Meet Jaedlyn. Isn't she adorable? Look at those cheeks! Jaedlyn's mommy is my niece Kivhon and her mom is my 1st cousin Joyce. Wow! Our family tree has certainly branched out! Lol! But I was very happy to see a lot of my family in California (under the circumstances). I hadn't seen most of them in ages. I was super glad to meet Jaedlyn. I hope it won't be too long when I see her again. Love you Jaedlyn!

Walter E. Richie. Gone too soon, loved by many.

Blessed are They that Mourn

I just got back from watching my cousin bury her fourteen year-old son. It was a very emotionally filled weekend. Heartache was felt among everyone in attendance. I admire my cousin Christina's strength and courage. She was calm and subdued. I witnessed the outpouring of love and generosity from family, friends and their community. It was very touching. When I got back and looked at the images on my camera this image right above caught my eye. I immediately thought of that scripture in Matthew 5:4: “Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted." People were there to "catch and comfort" them in their time of need and that brings me peace and hope for her and her family. I love you guys! Hang in there.
