Feagaiga o Ali'i Dance Group:: Salt Lake City, Portrait Photographer

This group was a joy to shoot. They were super easy to work with and they had positive attitudes. You could tell they love what they do by the proud looks on their faces as they got into their costumes.
The colors were so vibrant and bright.
This was my first shoot of its kind.
I hope to do many more like it and see how things change over time.
Until then I give you Feagaiga o Ali'i headed up by my cousins Garnet Latu, Wilma Latu and their whole family.
Love you guys!
p.s: Thank you to my cousin Leeroy and my son Leti for assisting me that day. They were a huge help.

The Fabulous Hennessy's:: Salt Lake City, Utah, Family Portrait Photographer

Had two fabulous shoots I'm eager to share with you. The first one was with this super cute fam.
I had a great time with the Hennessy's.
These guys like to play around with each other. There's no doubt that there's a lot of  love in this family. Their shoot was a breeze and lots of fun.
It was a pleasure to meet you all Hennessy's!
Thank you for reminding me why I love doing this.
You have a beautiful family.

The Sensational Silva's::Salt Lake City, Family Portrait Photographer

Had a great time with the Sensational Silva family.
You probably recognize their boys from a previous shoot.
They look a little more grown-up now with their haircuts.
Still handsome as ever.
Mom and Dad definitely have their work cut out for them.
They are typical boys - active and playful, with unique personalities too.
I'm going to enjoy watching these boys grow up as the years go by.
Hopefully I'll still have the opportunity to keep taking their family pictures.
Love you Silva family!

p.s: the 7th picture is actually an outtake but I still loved the looks on the boys faces. Priceless!

"O a'u o le Samoa" - Salt Lake City, Portrait Photographer. (edited)

I wanted to try and add a cultural element to to my portfolio.
I love my heritage. I wanted to do something that showed it (as well as add to my portfolio). I hope that came through in this shoot and the rest of my work.

I love how these turned out and am eager to share them with all of you.
I am so grateful to my cousins for heeding my call for models. They came to my aid and helped me out when I needed them. I love you guys so much. Everyone who came out was so helpful and positive. I am so thankful that our models were so cooperative and well-behaved. They rocked!
I got some really good shots that I love.  I also took some shots that made me think about what I'd like to improve on as a photographer.
Without further ado I give you: "O a'u o le Samoa" - A Cultural Concept Shoot.
Literal translation: "I am Samoan."
Sau ia!

more to come...stay tuned!
